Heating equipment shown in the Dorset school plant-room project

Education project

Dorset school plant room

Commercial heating plant supporting a school building, with coordinated heat-source equipment, hydraulic separation, circulation and hot-water storage.

Project context

Keeping a Dorset school warm through dependable commercial plant.

Schools need heating systems that are dependable during occupied hours and understandable when maintenance is required. Plant selection is only part of the job: heat generation, hydraulic separation, circulation and stored hot water have to operate as a coordinated system.

This Dorset project provides genuine evidence of Heatfix’s commercial plant-room work. The footage shows Viessmann heating equipment, a Culm Stores low-loss header, a Grundfos Magna pump and a Joule Cyclone cylinder within the installation.

Commercial plant priorities

Equipment has to work as one maintainable system.

01

Heat generation

The heat source must serve the building load reliably and integrate with the wider hydraulic arrangement.

02

Hydraulic separation

A low-loss header can separate primary and secondary flow requirements where the system design calls for it.

03

Distribution

Commercial circulation, isolation and insulated pipework need to support operation as well as future maintenance.

04

Stored hot water

Cylinder capacity, recovery and connections have to reflect the building’s actual demand and operating pattern.
