How are plant rooms, heat pumps and UFH approached?
What does plant-room planning include?
Depending on scope, plant-room work may include boilers or heat pumps, cylinders, buffers, pumps, filters, hydraulic separation, valves, controls, pipe routes, isolation and maintenance access. The aim is a readable, serviceable installation.
Does Heatfix install air-source heat pumps?
Yes. Heatfix integrates air-source heat pumps with the complete system, including heat loss, emitters, hot-water storage, buffers, hydraulics, controls and commissioning.
Does Heatfix design and install underfloor heating?
Where Heatfix is appointed to design the underfloor heating, the agreed design scope includes output calculations and loop layout. Manifold positions, floor build-ups, zoning, controls and flow temperatures are coordinated with the project.
Can an existing heating system be retained or upgraded?
Sometimes. Existing emitters, pipework, controls and plant need to be assessed against the proposed heat source, loads and operating temperatures. Heatfix can then identify what is suitable for retention and what needs upgrading.

What should I send with an initial enquiry?

Can Heatfix review drawings before a site visit?
Yes. Floor plans, services information, plant-room layouts and photographs often reveal the key constraints and help establish whether a call, design review, site visit or quotation is the right next step.
Does Heatfix commission and hand over the system?
Yes. The relevant commissioning scope can include testing, balancing, controls setup, operating information and recording the final system settings for the client or future service engineer.
What accreditations does Heatfix hold?
Heatfix is Gas Safe registered, registration 191299, has been a Viessmann accredited installer since 2008 and is a Vaillant accredited installer. Heatfix has also delivered heat-pump installations for EDF Energy and solar-thermal installations for Oventrop UK.
