Heat-pump questions

The unit is only one part of the design.

Successful low-temperature heating depends on the building load, emitters, hot-water strategy, flow rates, controls and commissioning working together.

Does changing the heat source alone guarantee efficiency?

No. Radiators or UFH, pipework, pumps, cylinder recovery, zoning and control settings all affect performance and comfort.

Can heat pumps work with underfloor heating?

They can be a strong combination when room loads, floor build-ups, loop layouts and realistic low-temperature outputs are coordinated correctly.

Is there a relevant Heatfix project?

The Wilmer House, Richmond project includes three Daikin air-source heat pumps, unvented hot water, remote plant distribution and mixed UFH floor build-ups.
