Heatfix is delivering the full plumbing and heating package, built around three Daikin air source heat pumps, unvented hot water cylinders and a remote plant room.

Project status

Remote plant, heat pumps and buried pre-insulated pipework into a substantial Richmond property.

Wilmer House has now moved from a placeholder into a proper live case page. The confirmed Heatfix scope is all plumbing and heating for the project, with the heating generated by three Daikin air source heat pumps.

The UFH package combines screeded floors downstairs with low-profile Cellecta Xpro 50 overlay board areas, designed around a microcement floor finish.

The plant strategy includes unvented hot water cylinders, Dutypoint Scuba cold water booster pumps, a remote plant room and pre-insulated underground pipework carrying services back into the property.

Heat-pump heating

Three Daikin air source heat pumps provide the primary heating platform for the property, supported by Heatfix UFH design data.

Mixed UFH construction

Screeded downstairs zones are combined with Cellecta Xpro 50 low-profile overlay board areas beneath a microcement finish.

Hot and cold water plant

Unvented hot water cylinders and Dutypoint Scuba cold water booster pumps are being coordinated in the remote plant room.

Underground distribution

Pre-insulated underground pipework links the remote plant-room services back into the main house cleanly and efficiently.

Design notes

Why Wilmer House is a useful heat-pump case study.

This project gives Heatfix a strong live example of modern residential heating design: heat pumps, remote plant, hot water, boosted cold water and low-profile UFH all being coordinated as one package.

Remote plant room

The plant is separated from the main house, so underground distribution, insulation, access and maintenance routes have to be considered early.

Heat-pump temperatures

Low-temperature emitter design matters. The UFH build-ups need to support comfort without forcing unnecessary flow-temperature lift.

Hot water and boosting

Unvented cylinders and Dutypoint Scuba cold water booster pumps are part of the same user experience as the heating system.
